Who Is Rosco Wilson?
Rosco Wilson is a 38-year-old FIFO logistics worker who competed on season 22 of The Block Australia in 2026. He and his wife Lisa, from Perth in Western Australia, were one of five teams renovating beach houses at Mount Eliza on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. FIFO work, flying in and flying out to remote job sites, demands long hours away from home and a practical, get-it-done attitude, and Rosco brought that work ethic to The Block. He and Lisa were the season’s underdogs in terms of building experience, but they won over viewers with their humour and honesty about the learning curve.
Early Life & Background
Rosco built his career in FIFO logistics in Western Australia, coordinating the movement of people and materials for remote operations. It is demanding work that rewards organisation and calm under pressure, both useful on a renovation site. Before The Block, he and Lisa had been planning to build a farmhouse on their acreage about 40 minutes outside Perth, and they had waited until that project was ready before applying. But long-time Block fan Lisa pushed on with their audition tape, keen for a shared adventure, and Rosco agreed, even while wondering whether they were ready.
The Block 2026 Journey
Rosco and Lisa started The Block 2026 as House 3, the Yellow team. They won the Main Bedroom and Walk-In Robe in week 3, an early highlight that showed they could compete with the more experienced teams. Like every team, they faced the show’s trademark pressure of weekly room reveals, budgets and deadlines, all while living in the shared contestants’ house in Mount Eliza, a first for the series. As Lisa put it, they were too busy surviving to realise they were the team with the least experience, but the show served as an intense 12-week training program that further ignited their passion for building. The season’s auctions took place on October 31, 2026, with the finale episode airing on November 1, 2026. Rosco and Lisa finished third on The Block 2026: their House 3 sold at auction for $4,000,000, a $550,000 profit above its reserve.
