Jake Bauers has been around Major League Baseball long enough to know how quickly fortunes change, and his 2026 October run with Milwaukee was a reminder of why clubs keep believing in his bat. The Brewers first baseman and outfielder was named an honorable mention at first base on ESPN’s All-October team, and he was also at the centre of one of the postseason’s most-shared moments: a viral celebratory exchange in which Brewers manager Pat Murphy ripped the Yankees alongside Bauers. It was a fitting snapshot of a player who had become part of Milwaukee’s clubhouse identity.
