Danny Kilby, known on Survivor as Kilby, is a game designer from Ontario, Canada, whose Survivor 51 game was still alive after the season’s first six episodes. The 30-year-old started on the Toka tribe when the CBS season premiered on September 23, 2026. A game designer spends their days thinking about rules, balance and strategy, and that way of thinking is a natural fit for a game built on rules, hidden advantages and shifting votes.

Who Is Danny Kilby?
Danny Kilby is a 30-year-old game designer who competed on Survivor 51 in 2026. He was living in London, Ontario, at the time of the season, having grown up in Mount Forest, Ontario. On the show, he is listed as Kilby in voting records, and that shorter name is how many fans know him. Game design is a career built on understanding how players think, what motivates them and how a small change to the rules can change everything, and those are exactly the questions that drive Survivor.
Early Life & Background
Danny grew up in Mount Forest, Ontario, a small town in Wellington County, and later based himself in London, Ontario, where he worked as a game designer. The move from a small town to a larger Ontario city fits a career in a creative industry, where studios and collaborators are often based in bigger centres. Before Survivor, he was presented as a thoughtful, strategic player, and his professional background made him one of the season’s most interesting students of the game itself.
Survivor 51 Journey
Danny started Survivor 51 on the Toka tribe in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. Toka lost the season’s first immunity challenge and went to Tribal Council in the first episode, but Danny survived that vote, and he also survived the votes that removed Patt Cannaday and others from the game. After the sixth episode, which aired on October 28, 2026, he was still in the game, one of 13 players remaining in Survivor 51. His journey so far shows a player who has navigated the early game without becoming a target, and he remains in contention as the season continues.
