Who Is Charlotte Schultz?
Charlotte Schultz is a Murray, Kentucky, esthetician who joined The Amazing Race season 39 with her sister Katie Schultz, 26, also an esthetician. The sisters were introduced as one of 13 teams chasing the $1 million prize, beginning at Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, where every team received an Express Pass at the starting line in a first-ever twist for the series.
At 20, Charlotte was one of the younger racers in the season, and she brought a different energy to the sister team: enthusiasm, openness to new experiences and a willingness to try tasks that older, more cautious racers might overthink. On The Amazing Race, that kind of confidence can be a real advantage, especially in physical challenges and in moments when a team must simply commit to a plan.
Charlotte’s race, however, ended early. After surviving the opening leg in Vancouver, she and Katie were eliminated in Leg 2, finishing 12th overall. It was a short run, but it still gave Charlotte a national television credit at the very start of her adult working life, and a story she will carry long after the season ends.
Early Life & Background
Charlotte Schultz is from Murray, Kentucky, where she and Katie were both based when the season was cast. Growing up with an older sister gave Charlotte a built-in mentor and racing partner: someone who already knew her strengths, who could steady her when the pressure rose and who shared her family background.
Before the race, Charlotte was not a television personality. She worked as an esthetician in Kentucky, the same field as her sister, and that shared career gave the sisters a natural bond on the show. Esthetics work is client-facing and detail-driven, and it rewards patience, communication and a calm presence, all of which matter on a race.
Career/Journey
Charlotte Schultz works as an esthetician in Murray, Kentucky, and her sister Katie works in the same field. Together, they entered The Amazing Race 39 as a young sister team, and they began the season with the same advantage as every other team: an Express Pass handed out at the starting line in Vancouver.
The sisters survived Leg 1 in Vancouver, where the race included a Roadblock at BC Place and a Pit Stop at VanDusen Botanical Garden, but they could not survive Leg 2. Charlotte and Katie finished last in that leg and were eliminated in 12th place, ending their season as the second team to leave the race.
The Amazing Race 39 premiered on CBS on September 30, 2026, hosted by Phil Keoghan, and episode seven, “The Amazing Nightmare,” aired on November 4, 2026. Although Charlotte’s journey ended in Leg 2, being cast among only 13 teams remains a notable credit, and the sisters’ early exit helped shape the season’s opening weeks as the field narrowed.
