Who Is Jody Rebhun?
Jody Rebhun is a Branford, Connecticut, history teacher who joined The Amazing Race season 39 with her best friend Jenn Naso, 44, a forensic scientist from Larchmont, New York. The pair were introduced as one of 13 teams chasing the $1 million prize, beginning at Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, where every team received an Express Pass at the starting line in a first-ever twist for the series.
As best friends in their forties, Jody and Jenn brought a different kind of partnership to the race: long experience, shared humor and a calm, practical approach to problem-solving. A history teacher spends her working life explaining how people and events connect across time, and that big-picture thinking can help on a race where clues, geography and local customs all matter.
Their race, however, ended in Leg 3. After surviving the first two legs, Jody and Jenn were eliminated in 11th place, becoming the third team to leave the season. It was a short run, but it still gave the friends a shared adventure on one of television’s most demanding competition shows.
Early Life & Background
Jody Rebhun is from Branford, Connecticut, while Jenn Naso is from Larchmont, New York. Their friendship, rather than a family or romantic relationship, was the heart of their team: two best friends who chose to take on the world together, trusting each other through long travel days and high-pressure tasks.
Before the race, Jody was not a television personality. She built her career as a history teacher, a role that rewards clear communication, preparation and the ability to stay composed when a plan changes. Those qualities were part of the friends’ story on the show: experienced, steady and determined, rather than reckless or flashy.
Career/Journey
Jody Rebhun works as a history teacher in Branford, Connecticut, and her teammate Jenn Naso works as a forensic scientist. Together, they entered The Amazing Race 39 as a best-friends team, and they began the season with the same advantage as every other team: an Express Pass handed out at the starting line in Vancouver.
The pair survived Leg 1 in Vancouver, where the race included a Roadblock at BC Place and a Pit Stop at VanDusen Botanical Garden, and they survived Leg 2 as well. In Leg 3, however, they finished last and were eliminated in 11th place, ending their season as the third team to leave the race.
The Amazing Race 39 premiered on CBS on September 30, 2026, hosted by Phil Keoghan, and episode seven, “The Amazing Nightmare,” aired on November 4, 2026. Although Jody’s journey ended in Leg 3, being cast among only 13 teams remains a notable credit, and the friends’ early exit helped shape the season’s opening weeks as the field narrowed.
