Who Is Conner Wilson?

Conner Wilson is best known as a contestant on The Amazing Race 39, the 2026 season of the CBS reality competition. He is racing with Garrett McGuire, a 27-year-old engineer from Rocklin, California, and the two have been friends since childhood. Conner works as a media producer, a job that involves planning, storytelling and working to deadlines, all useful skills when a race leg throws up a new challenge every few hours.

On the show, Conner has been part of a team that rarely falls out of contention for long. Even when a leg goes wrong, the pair tend to regroup quickly, and their friendship means they can be honest with each other without losing trust. That steadiness has kept them in the race through six legs.

Early Life & Background

Publicly shared details about Conner Wilson’s early life are limited, with cast announcements focusing on his work and his friendship with Garrett. He is from Loomis, California, a town in Placer County, while Garrett is from nearby Rocklin, which explains how a childhood friendship formed and lasted into adulthood.

As a media producer, Conner works in a field that rewards creativity, organisation and calm under pressure. Those traits translate directly to the race, where teams must read clues carefully, choose between detours, and manage travel, money and fatigue across different countries and time zones.

Career & Journey on The Amazing Race

Conner and Garrett began The Amazing Race 39 in second place on Leg 1, a strong start that marked them as early contenders. They slipped to ninth on Leg 2, then recovered to fourth on Leg 3 and fifth on Leg 4. Their form improved again in the next two legs, with third place on Leg 5 and third place on Leg 6, the latter also earning them an Express Pass.

That pattern, a fast start, a setback, then a steady climb, shows a team learning the race as it goes. Winning an Express Pass on Leg 6 gave them an extra advantage for a later leg, and as of the Leg 6 results, Conner and Garrett remained in the race, with no elimination, and continued alongside the other remaining teams.
