Aleksandra Isaeva is a Ukrainian dancer and choreographer who was announced in July 2026 as one of five new professionals joining Strictly Come Dancing for series 24, alongside Maddie Ingoldsby, Mark Karmalita, Lethabo Monametsi and Cristian Priori. She did not receive a celebrity partner at the launch of the series, joining the show’s professional troupe instead, and she is covered in our Strictly Come Dancing 2026 Cast hub.
Isaeva’s competitive record belies her age. She is a multiple Ukrainian National Latin Champion, ranked among the world’s top 21 Latin dancers, a top-ten finisher at the European Latin Championships in Blackpool and at the Dutch Open World Latin Dance Competition, and a finalist at the UK Dance Festival Latin Rising Star. She now resides in Italy, where she dances with her competitive partner Cristian Priori.
Early Life & Background
Aleksandra Isaeva was born on July 21, 2004, in Ukraine. She began dancing as a child in Ukraine, where she rose through the junior ranks to become a multiple national champion, competing in Latin dance at national and international level from a young age.
Her early career took her to the major European festivals, including Blackpool and the Dutch Open, where she reached top-ten finishes against the best Latin dancers in the world. She later moved to Italy, where she has been based with her competitive partner Cristian Priori.
Career/Journey
Isaeva’s senior competitive career has been built on national dominance and international consistency. She won the Ukrainian National Latin Championship multiple times, reached the top ten at the European Latin Championships in Blackpool and at the Dutch Open World Latin Dance Competition, and was a finalist at the UK Dance Festival Latin Rising Star. Her ranking among the world’s top 21 Latin dancers confirmed her standing in the global elite.
In July 2026, Isaeva and Priori were announced as new Strictly Come Dancing professionals for series 24, joining fellow newcomers Maddie Ingoldsby, Mark Karmalita, Lethabo Monametsi, Julian Caillon, Neil Jones and Alexis Warr in the professional company. Although she began the series without a celebrity partner, her youth and competitive pedigree make her one of the most exciting long-term signings of the 2026 intake.
On joining Strictly, Isaeva said that dance was something she lived and breathed every day, and that she could not wait to share that passion with the British audience. With multiple national titles and a world top-21 ranking behind her before her twenty-third birthday, she is one of the most decorated young dancers to join the show in years.
