Aaron Ashby Age, Height, Partner, Biography & More

Aaron Ashby’s 2026 postseason was so good that ESPN called him not just the best relief pitcher of the postseason, but the best relief pitcher of any postseason it could recall. That is a remarkable line for a pitcher who had spent much of his career balancing starting and relief roles, and it captured why Ashby became such a trusted weapon for Milwaukee. When the Brewers needed outs in October, Ashby was the answer — and he helped deliver a World Series title.

Who Is Aaron Ashby?

Aaron Ashby is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. A left-hander with a heavy sinking fastball and a sharp slider, Ashby has worked both as a starter and out of the bullpen. In 2026, his relief work in the postseason stood out above every other pitcher in October, according to ESPN, which named him its pitcher of the month for the playoffs.

Early Life & Background

Ashby was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 24, 1998. He pitched at Crowder College before Milwaukee selected him in the fourth round of the 2018 MLB Draft. His uncle Andy Ashby was also a major-league pitcher, so baseball was a family business long before Aaron reached the professional ranks.

Career

Ashby made his major-league debut for Milwaukee in 2021. Injuries and role changes interrupted his early seasons, but his stuff was never in doubt. By 2026 he had become a high-leverage reliever for a championship team, and ESPN’s All-October team named him its relief pitcher of the postseason. He finished the year as a World Series champion after Milwaukee beat Tampa Bay in five games.
