Who Is Cody Langlois?
Cody Langlois is a Los Angeles civil engineer who joined The Amazing Race season 39 with his sister Jaime Tribo, 33, a dietitian from Tinley Park, Illinois. The siblings were introduced as one of 13 teams chasing the $1 million prize, beginning at Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, where every team received an Express Pass at the starting line in a first-ever twist for the series.
As a civil engineer, Cody works in a field built on planning, measurement and solving practical problems under real-world constraints. That mindset can be a genuine asset on The Amazing Race, where teams must read clues closely, manage time and adapt quickly when a route or a task does not go as expected.
Their race, however, ended in Leg 4. After surviving the first three legs, Cody and Jaime were eliminated in 10th place, becoming the fourth team to leave the season. It was a mid-race exit that still left the siblings with a memorable shared journey across the season’s opening countries.
Early Life & Background
Cody Langlois is from Los Angeles, California, while Jaime Tribo is from Tinley Park, Illinois. Growing up as siblings gave them a shared family history and a shorthand that only brothers and sisters have: they know how the other reacts to stress, how to lift each other up and when to give each other space.
Before the race, Cody was not a television personality. He built his career as a civil engineer in Los Angeles, a role that rewards precision, teamwork and calm decision-making. Those qualities were part of the siblings’ story on the show: practical, steady and determined, rather than reckless or flashy.
Career/Journey
Cody Langlois works as a civil engineer in Los Angeles, and his sister Jaime Tribo works as a dietitian. Together, they entered The Amazing Race 39 as a sibling team, and they began the season with the same advantage as every other team: an Express Pass handed out at the starting line in Vancouver.
The pair survived Leg 1 in Vancouver, where the race included a Roadblock at BC Place and a Pit Stop at VanDusen Botanical Garden, and they survived Legs 2 and 3 as well. In Leg 4, however, they finished last and were eliminated in 10th place, ending their season as the fourth team to leave the race.
The Amazing Race 39 premiered on CBS on September 30, 2026, hosted by Phil Keoghan, and episode seven, “The Amazing Nightmare,” aired on November 4, 2026. Although Cody’s journey ended in Leg 4, being cast among only 13 teams remains a notable credit, and the siblings’ run helped shape the season’s opening weeks as the field narrowed.
